Sitting atop The Palm in Dubai, Atlantis, The Palm has firmly established itself as the region's first fully-integrated entertainment destination resort. This summer brings plenty of new actitives and exciting news at the iconic resort:

· Celebrate Cool Summer Nights at Aquaventure
Cool Summer Nights at Aquaventure will take place each Thursday in July and the first Thursday in August, welcoming guests to a Brazilian style, carnival-themed evening in the resort's water park. Guests can enjoy a range of entertainment, from Samba dancers to magicians, and fire-eaters to jugglers, whilst little ones can get involved with face painting and colourful mask making. Guests can sit atop the Ziggurat, the centerpiece of Aquaventure, to enjoy the best views of the Dubai skyline before plunging 30 feet into the darkness. The evenings close with an impressive firework and laser display just before midnight.

· Atlantis Dive Centre opens, new for 2010
Brand new for 2010, Atlantis has launched an in-resort Dive Centre to provide guests with the facilities to enjoy a new underwater world. The National Geographic accredited, PADI Atlantis Dive Centre offers a number of exciting programmes to suit all ages and levels. All courses can be structured to fit around holiday plans, allowing guests the opportunity to learn how to dive in one of the resort's private and pristine salt water pools, ensuring they become accustomed to the sensation of diving before the open water dives.

· Win the holiday of a lifetime to Atlantis
One lucky person will win a trip of a lifetime for themselves and nine others thanks to ‘The Atlantis Big Break Competition' which is running until 25 July. To be in with a chance to win, applicants have to make a video depicting why they deserve the five-night luxury break, which includes flights, accommodation, dolphin encounters at Dolphin Bay and a complimentary dinner at Ronda Locatelli for the whole group. This July, Atlantis, The Palm unveils its brand new helicopter landing pad, offering the opportunity to arrive at the iconic resort in the most glamourous way. Not only will guests be able to charter the helicopter for airport transfers, but it will be available for tours of the coast to take in the breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf and the ever-evolving Dubai city skyline.

A special menu will be on offer during the FIFA World Cup celebrations and will include nachos, chicken wings, spring rolls, calamari, salads and the World Cup Platter. Nasimi Beach will be open daily from 4pm - 2am with daily happy hour from 4pm-6pm and a happy hour after each FIFA World Cup match.

 · Atlantis brightens up London taxi cabs
A selection of London's black cabs are being treated to a splash of summer fun this month, thanks to Atlantis, The Palm. The resort has teamed up with Virgin Holidays to brighten up a fleet of 75 classic black cabs being wrapped both outside and in, featuring colourful images of the family friendly resort and its resident dolphin family. The campaign will be active for ten weeks through June and July 2010.
