The Cure has been announced as the first headline act for next year's Bestival in their only European show for 2011. Other acts to join the bill include Primal Scream who will be performing seminal album Screamadelica in its entirety, Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys, Robyn, Crystal Castles, DJ Shadow and Hip Hop legend Grandmaster Flash!
Tickets are expected to sell out quickly and they are now on sale from Red Funnel with or without ferry travel to the Isle of Wight.
Ticket only prices are as follows and include camping, booking fees and secure postage:
Adult Weekend £170.50
Teen (13 - 15) Weekend £88.00
Child (12 and under) Weekend Free
Book a ferry ticket to the Isle of Wight for Bestival with Red Funnel before January 3rd 2011 and festivalgoers can secure their ferry travel at 2010 prices, with single adult foot passenger fares starting from £12.40. Children aged 12 and under get free festival admission but still require a wristband and under fives get free ferry travel with Red Funnel.
Travelling to the Isle of Wight via Southampton is easy with Red Funnel. South West Trains operates between London Waterloo and Southampton Central, taking approximately 75 minutes with a free connecting shuttle bus service to the ferry terminals.
National Express and Greyhound operate regular coach services stopping outside Red Funnel's terminals in Southampton. Foot passengers can cross the Solent in only 25 minutes using Red Funnel's Red Jet Hi-Speed service. Vehicle Ferries also run regularly to the Isle of Wight from Southampton, which is easily accessible from the A34, M3 and M27.
