Cathy Brennan
With over 10 years PR experience working for agencies including bgb, Fleishman Hillard and Jackie Cooper, Cathy was our first bgb TCN partner, starting her consultancy in 2007. In her new role, Cathy has handled campaigns for Tourism Flanders, Kent Tourism Alliance and The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Russell Ison
Russell Ison has been involved in PR for travel, tourism and transport for almost twenty years. He worked in-house for Thomson Travel, managing the PR for the company’s airline, Britannia, before setting up his own consultancy. Since then Swissport, BAA, Manchester Airports Group, Hovertravel, Thomsonfly and the British Air Transport Association have all been amongst his clients.
Russell has particular expertise in crisis communications having managed the media response to an air crash, the opening of Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5 and the threatened closure of Heathrow Airport by campaigners. He advised clients on their response to the media in the wake of the London bombings, the banning of passenger hand baggage and subsequent restrictions on the carriage of liquids, and of course, the closure of UK airspace by volcanic ash.
