The Challenge - to introduce media to the relatively new destination of South Tyrol and make it into a highly desirable destination for luxury visitors as well as specialist markets.
Solution - positioned South Tyrol as a "Design Destination". Worked with key design talent in the area - Matteo Thun - ‘Mr Alessi' who has created a number of outstanding destination hotels including Vigilius and Hotel Therme. We created the opportunity for media to visit the properties and meet the man himself who outlined his passion for design and uniting internal and external factors.
The Results - bgb communications secured a number of key pieces in design and luxury publications (as well as on travel pages) placing South Tyrol on the map as a new and unusual design destination. Coverage included dps in Wallpaper* as well as other spreads in Elle, Daily Telegraph and Conde Nast Traveller. Mattheo Thun is now established in the minds of key media as a design guru who has created a new type of destination property.
