The 2009 PR Week "Power Book" was issued at the new club at the top of Centre Point tonight. While the group of people chosen to feature in the book admired the dizzying views of London glittering below, editor Danny Rogers told us not to be too self-deprecating and to shout about our achievements, so here goes.

We hold regular events for clients and friends of bgb. If you're not on our invite list and you'd like to be please just drop us a note to rsvp@bgb.co.uk telling us which event you're interested in and and we'll also  make sure you hear about future sessions. Upcoming events in 2009 include:

bgb communications scooped a prestigious Silver Travel Marketing Award at last night's Chartered Insitute of Marketing's annual awards.

ITB was best described as "resilient" this year. Exhibitors told a common tale - it's tough, but everyone has now taken their head out of the sand and we're addressing the challenges head-on.

Debbie Hindle, bgb managing director, will be one of the panelists on sustainability at this year's Best of Britain & Ireland Travel Trade Forum. She'll be joining a panel of prominent sustainable journalists on Friday 27 March at midday to discuss whether green issues are marginalised or considered mainstream by British media. To register for the event visit www.britainandirelandevent.co.uk/registration, email info@bobevents.co.uk or call +44 (0) 1883 333 195.

Have a look at the new TravelMail website. It's now got a consistent look and feel to the rest of the Mail website and it's stacked with content and the editorial team are tweeting their news as well. The new layout makes it easier to get happily lost in sections such as the website of the week features.
