There was a need to raise the profile of Mauritius in the UK and thank the private sector for their continued support. bgb managed the trade event and themed it around the celebration of 40 years of Mauritius Independence
London's famous Sketch Restaurant was selected to create maximum impact. Attendance was over 300 people - about 30 journalists and all the key tour operators and industry partners. Air Mauritius used the event to launch new flight services and their new business class. Chefs, musicians and florists were flown over from Mauritius to make the evening a truly unique and Mauritian experience. The Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius opened the event as the scene was set to celebrate and reinforce our key positioning of the destination.
Great exposure was achieved, especially within the trade channels and the feedback and general uplift from the private sector was and continues to be extremely positive.
