MAD DOG SKI LAUNCHES WHISTLER GUIDE

This season, Mad Dog Ski, the insider's guide to some of the world's finest ski resorts, launched its first non-European guide - Whistler.

Available to purchase on maddogski.com and through stockists including Amazon, Snow+Rock and Stanfords for just £8, Mad Dog Ski's guide to Whistler provides skiers and snowboarders with the insider knowledge on one of the world's most popular resorts. The venue for the 2010 winter Olympics, Whistler is also consistently ranked as North America's top winter sports resort and is a favourite destination for British skiers.

The tenth book in the Mad Dog Ski range, the Whistler book contains an in-depth guide to everything that skiers need to know once in resort. As with all Mad Dog Ski destination guides, it provides first-hand knowledge on all aspects of a snow-sports holiday, both on and off the mountain. Unique features include:

Trail ranking - awarding trails one to three stars (easy to difficult), the trail ranking allows skiers and boarders to plan their routes more confidently

Detailed Mad Dog day trips - each trip is designed to help skiers and boarders explore a new ski area, and also provides recommended lunch and après-ski stops

Detailed reviews of Whistler's mountain restaurants

Independent reviews of restaurants, après-ski and nightlife in-resort

Other things to do - very popular, this gives non-skiing visitors the full low-down on how to have just as much fun off the mountain as on it!

A separate children section - including childcare options, recommended children's ski schools and off the mountain activities.

With the new Whistler guide, this season Mad Dog Ski offers 10 guides:
Ski Weekends - featuring nine European resorts ideal for weekend breaks
Whistler
Courchevel & the Three Valleys
Tignes & the Espace Killy
Val d'Isère and the Espace Killy

Featuring nine European resorts, Ski Weekends is a selection of Mad Dog Ski's favourite resorts for a weekend in the mountains. The pocket-sized guide features St Anton, Schladming, Chamonix, Chatel, Courchevel, Morzine, Tignes Les Boisses, Val d'Isere and Verbier, providing the low-down on everything you need to know for a mini-break and tips on how to maximise your time on the mountain. The guide is packed with invaluable information including Mad Dog's favourite places to ski, eat and drink, handy maps of each country showing resorts and proximity to the airports and a guide to flights from all UK airports.

All books cost £8 to purchase (except the smaller Courmayeur guide at £6) and are available online at www.maddogski.com or through www.amazon.co.uk, Snow+Rock and Stanfords.
