Winter short breaks from €140 per room per night, including green fees and golf lesson

With the number one female player in Portugal, Mónia Bernardo, on hand to give lessons, there is no better place to stop being a ‘golf widow‘, pick up a club and learn golf for yourself this winter than at Pine Cliffs Resort in the Algarve. The Sheraton Algarve at Pine Cliffs Resort is offering budding golfers short breaks before 31 March 2009 from €140 per room per night on a b&b basis, based on two sharing for up to three nights. This price includes unlimited green fees and one 30-minute golf lesson per person.

The Pine Cliffs' golf academy practice area includes a landscaped driving range with nine different flag positions, a chipping green, a pitching and bunker area as well as several putting greens. Other training facilities include video swing analysis using the latest V1 Software, enabling the pros to fully analyse players' swings and allow them to understand their positions and movements in greater detail.

Once visitors have brushed up on their swing, Pine Cliffs' compact nine-hole golf course offers breathtaking views across the cliffs to the Atlantic Ocean beyond. A highlight of the course is the world famous "Devil's Parlour" par three hole, where a 200 metre tee-shot is required to cross the spectacular cliffs of Praia Falésia.
