Free P&O Ferries return ferry crossing for all visitors who buy at International Caravan and Motorhome 2010

23 August 2010

Caravan and motorhome enthusiasts who buy a new caravan or motorhome at this year's International Caravan & Motorhome 2010 with P&O Ferries from 12 -17 October at the NEC in Birmingham qualify for one free return ferry crossing as part of a major new sponsorship deal.

To celebrate the sponsorship deal and the launch of their brand new ships in 2011, Spirit of Britain and Spirit of France, P&O Ferries is offering visitors one free return crossing between Dover and Calais when buying a new touring caravan or motorhome*. By buying now at the show, visitors will also get the best prices and beat the January VAT increase to 20%, saving at least £300 on an entry level caravan and from £600 on a motorhome.

Mark Atherton, head of sales of P&O Ferries, said: "Next year we launch the first of the two largest ferries ever to operate on the Dover - Calais route. After investment worth more than £300 million we'll see the Spirit of Britain come into service in January 2011 and the Spirit of France will follow in September next year. Sponsoring International Caravan & Motorhome is a great way to promote the benefits of these exciting ships to caravan and motorhome users and let them know how welcome they are on these new vessels."

Show director Sam North said: "We're absolutely delighted that our new show sponsor P&O Ferries has given such a headline-grabbing offer to buyers at the show, providing another incentive to attend this October. This is also an additional reason why we're expecting the 2010 show to be a phenomenal success. There are already more than 250 exhibitors already lined up, more than 30 entirely new exhibitors, and a host of new attractions including a new cookery theatre, farmer's market, real ale bar and expert talks theatre. Free as part of the ticket, visitors can also enjoy the UK's best indoor display of park and holiday homes at the new National Holiday Home Show. We think that's an amazing bargain for a great day out and look forward to welcoming many more visitors in 2010."

Advance tickets for just one day are £14.95 and individual tickets bought on the day are £19.95. Children aged sixteen and under are free. A Freedom Pass is also available at £26 for unlimited access to the show for the full six days. Tickets can be booked online at www.caravanshows.com or on the ticket hotline number 0844 412 4639.
