Destinology, one of the UK's leading luxury tour operators, has this month launched the ‘Destinology Air Travel Trust' to provide double financial protection for its customers on all package and flight only bookings.

Offered free of charge to all customers and independently administered by Barclays Bank Trust Company Limited, all ATOL related customer money is now placed in a Trust account, which guarantees a 100% refund in the event that a supplier collapses. The Trust covers all bookings made with Destinology for package or flight only holidays, whether customers travel by low cost, charter or scheduled airline. There are no loopholes and every aspect of the holiday will be covered, from accommodation to car hire.

With 13 UK travel companies already ceasing trading in 2010 to date*, Destinology's Air Travel Trust 100% promises to protect its customers from the prospect of being stranded abroad and facing having to pay again for a holiday they have already purchased. Instead, should a supplier collapse while a customer is abroad, any financial consequences would be covered through the Trust immediately, administered by Destinology and with no implications or hassle for the individual on holiday.

Offered as extra protection, the Trust is a further safeguard for Destinology customers, offered in addition to the protection already in place through ATOL and the CAA. Exclusions to some products covered through industry wide schemes means the simple 100% Trust guarantee offers peace of mind for customers that whenever they book a package or flight only holiday with Destinology, their money, and a hassle free holiday, is safe.
