Clarion Events, the leading independent exhibition organisers, has received a huge boost in its aim to help the industry repeat its record performance of 2009 to this year's International Caravan & Motorhome Show at the NEC in Birmingham, following an exclusive sponsorship deal with P&O Ferries. The deal, achieved through Clarion's strong reputation and connections with the travel industry as the organisers of Destinations and Luxury Travel Shows, will mean that any visitor who buys a caravan or motorhome at the show will receive one free return ferry crossing on P&O Ferries newest ship via their Dover - Calais route.*
Show director Sam North said: "We're absolutely delighted that our new show sponsor P&O Ferries has given such a headline-grabbing offer to attract even more buyers to the show. In addition to the VAT rise to 20 percent in January, this will make an even more compelling reason for buyers to get their orders in early. About the International Caravan & Motorhome Show with P&O Ferries
2010 show features include The Caravan Club's Motor Caravan Manoeuvring Sessions for the opportunity to try driving a motor caravan under the helpful guidance of a qualified Caravan Club instructor; as well as the chance to drive The Caravan Club's Towcar of the Year 2011 ‘Try Before You Buy' free taster sessions where visitors can enjoy a test drive of the winning towcars. There will also be Caravan Club experts on the main Club stand (6-65) to help visitors with all their caravanning and motor caravanning queries and also to help visitors choose the perfect continental site to visit - The Club's Travel Service offers a choice of over 200 continental sites. And, to make sure visitors can really maximise their time at the show, they can book to stay at The Caravan Club's fully-equipped On-site Campsite from 11-17 October.
The Camping and Caravanning Club will also be running a free Towing Experience where you can try towing a caravan under expert tuition as well as a number of presentations on their Worldwide Escapes (Halls 8/9 linkway) which are available through Carefree, the Club's Worldwide Travel Service. Surrounded by two RV's, the Club's Tour Escorts will lead the talks, giving campers the opportunity to learn about the Club's Carefree service and ask questions. The presentation timetable will be available on the show website. The Gullivers' KidZone (Hall 17, stand 17-47 and 17-49), running on the Saturday and Sunday, is also a great way to keep kids entertained.
This year, the show already has over 250 leading exhibitors lined up to showcase the latest designs and layouts including those from Swift, Bailey, Elddis, Lunar, Coachman, Auto-Trail, Auto-Sleepers, Chausson, Rapido, Burstner, Pilote, Frankia and many more. There are also over 30 new exhibitors such as Roma Caravans, Lyons Holiday Parks, Webbs Motorhomes, Vanmaster, Geist and Craghoppers. For bargain prices on those much-needed accessories, the Accessory Superstore will have the newest products from Riversway, Towsure, Fiamma Spa, Tamworth Camping and more. Various UK, European campsites and Worldwide destinations will also be there to inspire where to enjoy your next adventures.
There are several new free additions this year too, making the show a great day out for all the family. Sample and buy delicious seasonal produce at the New Farmer's Market; see live demonstrations of practical yet inspirational dishes at the New Cookery Theatre and arrange to meet friends, family and fellow outdoor enthusiasts at the New Real Ale Bar where you can taste and buy a selection of mouth-watering real ales. Throughout the show there will also be a New Expert Talks Theatre, where you can attend a series of sessions with experts giving advice on a variety of topics from hot destinations to visit through to useful and practical advice on safety during a camping, caravan or motorcaravan holiday.
