Barbados Tourism Authority Invites Agents to Jump at Notting Hill Carnival

For the first time, the Barbados Tourism Authority will join in the Caribbean celebrations at the Notting Hill Festival this August. To celebrate, thirty agents are being given the chance to join in the festivities with the ‘Bajan Revellers', thanks to the tourist board's The Big One agent incentive programme.

Each August Bank Holiday the streets of West London come alive with the sights and sounds of Europe's biggest street festival. The Notting Hill Carnival boasts twenty miles of vibrant colourful costumes and astonishing floats, traditional steel drum bands and over a million party people from all over the globe.

As part of the Barbados Tourism Authority's incentive scheme ‘The Big One', thirty top Barbados-selling agents (for the period May through to July), will win a two-night stay in London and the chance to join the Barbados Tourism Authority sponsored ‘Bajan Revellers' band at the Carnival on Monday August 30. The prize also includes two nights accommodation including breakfast at the Hilton London Kensington from Saturday August 29. Open to all UK call centre and reservations staff, selected tour operators can put forward their top Barbados sellers from their call centre or reservation staff*. The submission deadline is July 26th.

Winning agents can look forward to wearing costumes designed by Gwyneth Squires, who for many years has created legendary outfits for the Crop Over festival in Barbados which takes place on the island each August.

Taking place between July 3 and August 2, Crop Over is Barbados' biggest, loudest and best-loved festival, which sees the whole island party hard. The best time for agents to book customers is over Kadooment Day on 2 August which sees the culmination of a month of celebrations with dancing, markets, cultural presentations and a parade, complete with bright costumes, live music and plenty of rum.
