If we feel frustrated by something should we abdicate, or articulate our frustration?
I was struck by a blog post recently in which the writer, Natalia Forrest said she'd cancelled her subscription to Lonely Planet Magazine because she felt frustrated at the lack of sustainable options she saw featured by the magazine. I can understand that frustration. Sustainable considerations are still sometimes covered in a "niche" box in sections and magazines. But I'm worried about the way the writer responded to that frustration. Will she actually get a bigger reaction by stopping her subscription, or would she get a better response by lobbying the magazine as a dedicated reader?
I also wonder how many more people are cancelling subscriptions for similar reasons.
